new installations, galvanically separated multimedia sockets shall be used in accordance with an agreement between the National Electrical Safety Board and the cable TV industry. The socket separates, via a galvanic separator, apartments from each other and thus provides protection for persons and appliances.
The socket consists of two parts where the base unit is mounted in the same way as a regular antenna socket in a box (mounting frame is available for surface mounting).
The filter unit is pressed on the base unit and locked via a special design. All connections are down, which reduces the need for space for connection cables.
The socket has a design for connecting the coaxial cables where the inner conductor is locked into a unique screwless construction and the cables are mechanically held in place with a special jumper that is screwed into the socket.
