The air cooler works as follows: it draws in dry, warm air that is passed through a moistened pad. The cushion absorbs heat, the moisture in the pad evaporates and cools the air a couple of degrees so you can enjoy a refreshing, cool breeze. The moist air is circulated back into the room, so you avoid the dry air that air conditioning provides.
