Compression connectors of the TRS and DRS type mean an innovation in compression technology. Several innovative innovations have been introduced, some of which have been patented. A change is the unique solution with the outer O-ring, which provides full metallic contact between nut and connection connector. This ensures that the contact gets the right traction and also the right impedance.
A known fact is that even F-connectors drawn with torque wrench have a tendency to come loose due to e.g. vibrations.
In these new contacts, this is prevented by a unique locking ring.
Among what PCT has patented is a solution with double 360 degree compression rings that provides optimal tensile load and shielding properties and protects against moisture penetration.
For the installer, these contacts are faster and easier to work with. Especially with the new ergonomically designed compression tool. All connectors are color and type marked with one color for each cable type.
The DRS series is for normal installations while the TRS connectors are used for really demanding purposes where the highest possible performance is a must.
The TRS connectors are in a slightly shorter house and can therefore be used in confined spaces.
